Is the summer drawing to a close? – Collabor:8

I took this photo about a week ago, a lonely cicada on a plant, not even making any noise, just sitting. Cicada’s aways remind me of summer, and some of the evenings we have had lately have seen them making noises all through the night!! Which reminds me of the tropics.
But…. leaves are JUST starting to fall from trees, and the sounds of cicadas whilst still there, are slowly fading.
It must be time for a new Season….

For better or for worse, seasons in life will always follow one another, and we have to live with them.

I love cicada’s, their song is comforting to the soul – for me anyway.
Im living in Oregon, USA and we don’t see them here.
I love visiting home and hearing them. Just thinking of them makes me homesick.

I’m surprised Oregon doesn’t have any!… I would have thought that cicadas are around the world. They are certainly in southeast asia 24/7! šŸ™‚

Great photo! Agree it’s feeling very autumnal! We have caterpillars and chrysallis’ at the moment if you want more wildlife to photograph?

Heard you on Rhema this afternoon. Seasons come and seasons go, some good some bad but the trick is to keep our focus which is not always easy.

Hey Jared, thanks for sharing your walk, you are a great inspiration, and an example that no matter what you face, you can always be a witness and an inspiration. I like that you are real and honest and very candid, and that you are literally taking this one day at a time. Thank you once again for sharing, I am greatly encouraged!! God Bless!!
