This one was a tricky little thing… way too much fidgety folding for my liking. Again, this one used two 1 dollar bills, one for the wings, and one for the tail and body.
Today’s 1 Dollar Bill Plane is actually made from 2 separate 1 dollar bills. One for the wings and nose, and a second for the body and tail. This one looks a little better than my concord, which I wasn’t convinced replicated the real thing very well.
A classic of aerospace engineering translates into a semi-classic of the dollar bill origami world. This one was simple, but took a bit to make it look just right. I’ll add it to my dollar bill plane mobile when I’m done with them all.
Today’s 1 Dollar Bill Plane is an F-16 Falcon… I don’t think i did a very good job of this one, it was kinda hard to make it sit right at the end.
Today’s Plane, the B-2 Bomber. This one was surprising fiddly for what seems to be a relatively simple shape.
A friend of mine from the US sent me this book and some spare US Dollar bills so I could make planes with my spare time.
So, the first to be made is an F-14a Tomcat
Its funny, I feel weird folding up money… subconsciously I think I always think of money as something I should be taking care of like saving, or spending… Now they are works of art/origami. :-).
Thanks Suzanne. 🙂
